Fellowship is a vital
component of worship and community at Milwaukie Lutheran. The
children's activities are listed on the Youth Page. Adults
participate in a variety of activities; some very traditionally
associated with a Lutheran Church, - - potlucks! And others
which appeal to many different interest levels.

- All men are invited to attend the men's weekly Wednesday
morning breakfast at 7:00 a.m. at the IHop Restaurant in Oak
Grove on McLoughlin Blvd.
Bunco - The
dice game bunco is played every 4-6 weeks on a Friday or
Saturday evening generally towards the beginning of the month.
Bunco is most generally played in the home, but depending on

church Fellowship Hall. A charge of $2/person is collected

on the number who RSVP for Pinochle determines if the monthly

players. A charge of $2/person is collected and divided up

Women
and Men's Dinner Out - On the third Monday of the month
at 5:30 p.m., everyone is invited to join the men's and women's
dinner out. This event gives the singles of the congregation a
chance to participate in a dining event which is not centered on
couples. Two different local restaurants are selected each
month. No reservations are required. Sites and dates will
be listed here, in the bulletins and newsletter monthly.
Young At Heart
- The Young At Heart are retired members of the church.
Many are single, but couples are always welcome, and the group
is looking to grow their ranks. Meetings are held periodically
through the year. The group holds a yearly picnic potluck
at Elmer Lampe's every August. If you have ideas for activities
and or an interest to help facilitate group activities, contact
Deanne Vegge for more information.
Small Groups
- An element of the Small Group Bible Studies is
fellowship. Each group decides on fellowship activities. This
past year small groups have hosted potlucks, conducted special
projects for families in need, traveled together, gone to shows
and concerts.
Fall Festival
- Every-other-year the Women of MLC (MLCW) sponsor a Fall
Festival in late October. The event is more than a craft fair.
It is mix of food, fellowship, music, polka dancing, kids crafts
and more. Proceeds from the festival are used for outreach
activities sponsored by the MLCW. Contact MLCW president, Sue
Roeger for more information.
Soup Suppers
- Lenten Season provides and opportunity for members to come
together mid-week for a soup supper and fellowship before the
mid-week Lenten Service. Volunteers are recruited to bring
family favorite soups and bread.
Pie Social -
Following the Thanksgiving evening service come join us for a
Thanksgiving pie social. Thanksgiving Service is held the
evening before Thanksgiving at 7:00 p.m.
Dessert Auctions
- Do you like to bake? This past year the bakers of the
congregation donated tasty home-made goodies for two dessert
auctions. The auction proceeds were used to help fund the youth
trip to the National Youth Gathering. Over $850 was raised at
one auction alone!
Easter Breakfast
- Every year Elmer Lampe assists the youth in hosting a pancake
breakfast Easter Sunday morning. Hundreds of pancakes and
sausages are served at this Easter tradition.
Sunday Fellowship
Coffee Hour - Each Sunday between services join us in
fellowship at the weekly coffee hour. It's a good time to get
to know fellow members better, learn of coming activities, and
share in celebrations. This year already we have celebrated five
90th birthdays and a number of 50th wedding anniversaries
during the fellowship hour.
