Our Program

Our program is based on the children's
interests, needs and strengths. We encourage children to respect and value each individual in our preschool community. Families are encouraged to be regular and frequent partcipants. We embrace and celebrate God's presence in our classrooms and in the world around us.

Family Events

Several times a year families are invited to participate in special events.

Milwaukie Lutheran Preschool admits children of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to the students of this school. MLPS does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, nationality or ethnic origin in

Our Day At Preschool

Each classroom has a teacher, a teaching assistant, and parent helpers. Children have the opportunity each day to choose a variety of "hands-on" activities in the classroom's learning centers.

Centers are developmentally appropriate for exploration and active learning. Activities include creative "pretend" play, games, toys, puzzles, books and art. Children participate in group activitities each day such as music and movement, physical play, snack, and story time.

Field trips and special guest visits are planned to help broaden the children's understanding of their world.

School Hours

3 year olds
Tuesday and Thursday
9:15 am to 11:30 am

4 year olds
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
9:00 am to 11:30 am

We offer a 15 minutes before and/or after school option. Each option must be pre-arranged on a full month basis. Cost for each option is $25 per month.

Enrollment

Children must be three or four by
Sept. 1st, 2010. A non-refundable registration fee of $60. is required with a
completed registration form. All immunizations must be current.
