Mission Trip to the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana! Support our Trip

We will be heading to the Native American Reservation in Montana on Saturday, July 7th and returning home on Saturday the 14th or Sunday the 15th.  We currently have 17 youth signed up to go.  We will be doing building/repair projects and working with the kids there. Lots more details soon.  If you want to go please turn in a $100 deposit asap or talk to Brian.

Our trip has ended and man was it incredible!  Trip of a lifetime!  Thanks a ton for all who supported us.  The youth will be sharing pictures and stories very soon!  Look for more pictures on our SH youth picture page.

Summer Mission Trip to Lapwai, Idaho

We're Back!

This summer 9 SH youth and 3 adults traveled to the Nez Perce Reservation in Lapwai, ID to work with Group Workcamps.  Along with around 80 youth from around the country we helped do various home repair projects for needy people there.  Projects included painting homes, buidling wheel chair ramps, and rebuilding front porches.  Every night we also had time for worship as we looked back on the day.  The theme for the week was "Undeserved" and it focused on the Parable of the Prodigal Son and God's love for us even when we don't deserve it. It was an incredible experience had by all with many stories to share.  Ask one of the youth who went or adults and I am sure you will hear how they changed.  Pictures coming very soon. 

Our goal with our summer trips is that every youth gets a chance to experience a week long mission trip somewhere in the US and one in Mexico.  We also attend the National Youth Gathering on the third year of the cycle so they can experience worship and a lot more with 36,000+ other Lutheran youth.  We feel this gives them a great opportunity to experience God in different ways.  It is hard to describe how life-changing the experiences can be.  You have to experience them for yourself.
